ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under the direction of Invictus’ Academic Board, the purpose of the job is to be Invictus’ Deputy Principal of the Dempsey campus. This position will encompass both academic, management and administrative duties. He/ She shall works with the Head of School, Principal of the school and school staff and reports to the Academic Board or its representative.

AREAS OF KEY FOCUS :
  1. Teaching & Learning

    • Develop a school environment which is supportive of learning and high achievement among the students.
    • Develop and provide appropriate learning and curriculum programmes and methods of instruction that meet the needs of all students in the school and timetabling to support them.
    • Promote effective teaching and learning practices across the school.
    • Assist in the development of the school curriculum and assessment policies.
    • Implement systems for recording individual pupils’ progress and ensure that parents are informed regularly of the progress of their children at the school.
    • Assist the Principal in supporting the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning across the school and the development of improvement plans.
    • Coordinate with the school leadership team to ensure that operational needs are integrated with academic programs and initiatives.
  2. Leadership – School Development 

    • Assist the Principal in developing the education aims and objectives of the school and devising strategies to achieve them.

    • Assist the Principal in co-ordinating the school plan and policies for approval by the Academic Board, Examination Board and Board of Management.

    • Nurture the school staff and guide them in achieving the aims, objectives and plans of the school.

  3. Management – People & Teams  

    • Develop a good working relationship with the Principal, fellow colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
    • Treat all staff with respect and develop positive relationships.

  • To be the Head and a contributing member of the school’s management team
  • To provide leadership in managing the day-to-day operation of the School
  • To liaise with Invictus’ Academic and Examinations Board with regard to:
  • Teaching & learning activities at the School – these are to be in line with the curriculum and ethos of Invictus
  • Staffing at the School – so that the standards and methods of teaching are in line with those determined by the Academic Board
  • To liaise with Invictus’ Administrator (or her/his representative) with regard to:
    • The school’s budgetary process and the implementation of the approved budgets
    • The school’s administrative processes as captured in Invictus’ Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), which includes matters relating to admissions, contracting of students, maintaining student records, etc
  • To take all reasonable steps to ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations as well as Invictus standing operating procedures (SOPs)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Invictus International School is seeking an energetic Teacher Assistant who is responsible to carry out the professional duties of a teacher’s assistant as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school’s policies under the direction of the school’s Principal.

AREAS OF KEY FOCUS
  • Providing support to children with learning subjects on an individual, class or small group basis
  • Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
  • Assist teachers in preparing for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up teaching aids or by preparing lesson plans in advance of classroom activities
